I apologize if I hadn't been posting recipes recently as I am busy with my new role as a WAHM and sometimes I find cooking very tedious and so I sometimes just cook the ones that are already in here. But I promise to still post new recipes when I have time.

Big Better Burgers

I've been meaning to eat at Big Better Burgers the first time I saw comments about it in a forum I am in. So yesterday, when I brought my daughter to Robinson's in BF and I saw that there was one in Pergola Mall which is just near Robinson's. I decided to eat there and try their burgers out.

I ordered the Hahapaleno Burger for P152.00 which has salsa on it and cheese and I also ordered a regular iced tea for P25.00.

This is how it was served to me, it comes with free French fries by the way! :) And when you open the wrapper, this is what you'll see.

You see that big patty? Oh it was so juicy! And it was one of the yummiest patties I've ever tasted. Since it has salsa on it, it taste a bit hot. Wanna see the salsa inside? :)

I sliced the burger because I also wanted to see how it was prepared inside instead of taking off the ingredients one by one. See that mouthwatering salsa below the patty? :)

I was not able to finish the whole burger. I was so full with just the half slice. I am thinking that it's because of the patty because it was also thick. I will probably go back here and I will order the one with mushrooms on it. :)

PureFoods Nuggets

I wish there were nuggets when I was a kid because I really love this and so is my daughter! I feel like a child whenever I eat this! Me and my daughter buy this whenever we go to the grocery to stock foods for her. She loves the ones with shapes on it but the one on the photo were numbers and letters because the shapes were not available when we bought this. What I also love about this is it's also educational! If you have toddlers who love to eat, you can try cooking these for them and at the same time teach them about the shapes, letters and numbers! Although sometimes it's not clear what letter is on it because sometimes the nuggets are deform. :)

And by the way, I so love their free bbq sauce too! :D

Chic-Boy Chiken at Baboy

I am a big fan of Chic-Boy and I learned about this I think in 2011 because whenever we have meetings in the office, this is what they usually order for us to eat.

Me and my husband had dinner tonight at Chic-Boy Pamplona Uno branch. I ordered their SS1 Lechon Sisig and green mango salad. My husband ordered their CB7 Kumpleto meal and green mango salad too.

When the food finally arrived, I gave my husband some of my Lechon Sisig for him to taste and he said that it tastes like there's eggplant on it. I said to him, "pwede ba yun?" And so I asked the guy who passed by us if their Lechon Sisig has eggplant on it and guy said, "Minsan po ma'am meron, minsan hinahaluan," and then I said, "minsan?" and then I just smiled. It felt weird. I think that the pan where my food was cooked is where the eggplant was first cooked because they also have eggplant salad there.

I also noticed that my food was not served with soup and the guy said that it does not come with a soup. So I was thinking maybe they changed their serving portion? Because on the photo above, it has soup on it. O baka naisingit lang yung soup na yan sa photo? Hmmm...

The next photo is the Lechon Sisig that I ordered and it's way different from what's on their website. SS1 is for P109.00 and includes a regular drink.

My husband ordered the CB7-A which consists of Liempo, Chicken and Kangkong. CB7 is for P145.00 with a regular drink. Now here's the photo of my husband's food.

The chicken was very tasty and the liempo as well according to my husband. He had 5 cups of rice! Haha!

My favorite of all is the ensaladang mangga. This is for P25.00 per order. The bagoong they served is not too salty so it was really nice, the mango was not so sour also.

So all in all, we will still be visiting Chic-Boy soon because we really love this place even though we experienced a weird thing about the eggplant and the Lechon Sisig. By the way, I like their staff because they were so accommodating and nice when you ask them something.

You can visit their website for full menu at Chic-Boy and you can also check out their branches, maybe one is near you!
