Chic-Boy's Fresh Lumpia

It was my first time to try Chic-Boy's Fresh Lumpia when we had lunch there a few weeks ago. I must say it was good, the only thing I noticed was the wrapper was too thick that you'll think it as "big" but the content was actually not that many.

I like the packaging when you order it for take out. I was worried that the sauce might leak when I bring it home but when I open the box, good thing the sauce was separated from the lumpia. Plus they give generous amount of sauce, in fairness. This costs around 50 pesos if I'm not mistaken and it's a good buy if you are looking a healthy food to eat at Chic-Boy.

You can check their website for branches near you so you can try them too!

Coffee Jelly

I recently joined "Lutong Pinoy" group in Facebook that shares simple recipes that are affordable, yummy and healthy. Let me share with you the dessert I made this afternoon for tonight, Coffee Jelly.

Here's what you need:

2 packs of Jellee gulaman powder (24g) clear and unflavored
1 sachet of Nescafe 3in1 original
1 sachet of any other coffee brand of your choice, I used Great Taste White
water
1 can condensed milk
1 all purpose cream
sugar

How to prepare:

- Boil 4 cups of water.
- Then add 1 pack of Jellee gulaman powder and 1 sachet of Nescafe 3in1 coffee.
- Add sugar according to taste.
- Stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the gulaman in a container and allow the gulaman to be cold and hard.
- Do the same procedure for the next pack of Jellee gulaman powder and 1 sachet of your desired coffee.
- In a bowl, mix condensed milk and all purpose cream until evenly combined.
- Once the gulaman is ready, cut into cubes and transfer to bowl of the combined condense milk and all purpose cream and mix evenly.
- Put the coffee jelly in freezer until ready to serve.

This is nice for special occasions and even for the upcoming Christmas! So easy to prepare! It tastes so good when served chilled.
