Pork Balls with Misua and Sayote

I'd like to share with you what I cooked last night for dinner. This is easy, healthy and yummy. This is the first time I cooked this and my husband loved the taste. :)

Here's what you need:

1/2 ground pork
1 beef cube
fish sauce
1 pack misua
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, minced
salt
magic sarap
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 cups water
oil
1 sayote, sliced thinly

Here's how to prepare:

- In a bowl, mix ground pork, magic sarap, black pepper, onion, flour and egg. Set aside.
- Heat the pan. Add oil.
- Saute garlic and then add beef cube. Add fish sauce.
- Pour water and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of the ground pork mixture and then form it to a ball shape. Drop this to the hot water. Do this with the rest of the mixture. Let it simmer for 15 minutes until pork balls are cooked.
- Add sayote and simmer it for another 2 minutes.
- Turn of the heat and put misua. Cover the pan until ready to serve.

Chef D'Angelo

I can finally share with you one of my favorite places to eat, Chef D'Angelo. Last week me and my childhood friends had lunch because one of my friends will be flying to Taiwan for work. Since we were looking for a place to eat where it's affordable yet very yummy, I suggested Chef D'Angelo. My best friend agreed with my suggestion so we had our lunch here. We actually ordered the same food. Super yummy!

I super love their nachos even if the ingredients is not complete. With just these two dips, I am super solve!

\

This is their Sampler 1. If I am not mistaken, this cost P155.00 and the chicken is big, I must say this is one of the things I love about Chef. This is what I ordered, pasta with red sauce.

My friend ordered the same Sampler but with white sauce on the pasta. You see the chicken? It's big and it's yummy, very tasty!

I ordered this for my daughter and for the 2 kids we were with. This costs P48.00 and it's not bad because my daughter ate a lot of this and still was able to share with other kids.

They have a lot of menu and food to offer! This is a must try! I am not sure though where the other branches of Chef D'Angelo but the one we went to was in SM Mall of Asia, South of the mall.

Spicy Tofu

I just wanted to share with you this really easy yet very yummy recipe I got from a friend on Instagram, Spicy Tofu. This is very easy and I'm sure your family will love this. My husband did!

Here's what you need:
4 pcs. tofu
magic sarap
pepper
Spicy Breading (I used Spicy Crispy Fry)
Oil for frying

Here's how to prepare:
- Slice tofu into rectangular shapes or can be cubed, depending on your choice of cut.
- Sprinkle Magic Sarap and Pepper.
- Dredge in spicy breading.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy.

That's it! So easy! You can pair this up with pork and make tokwa't baboy. We actually tried doing that the other day and it made the dish extra yummy! Try them now! Enjoy!

Flavours of China

It's my husband's 25th birthday today and since we are into big celebration and all, we decided to have a late lunch at Flavours of China in SM Sucat. My husband requested to eat here and he said he missed the food here.

This is actually my favorite part, the chicharon part! They serve this while you're order is being prepared. I remember when we ate here with my family, they really had to ask for another plate of this!

We super love this Seafood Fried Rice (P235) and I think this is already good for 4 persons because we didn't finish this plateful of rice.

This is one of favorite, Salt and Pepper Spareribs with vinegar, priced at P255 per order. I like this because it's crispy and very good partner with vinegar.

This is their Fried Chicken, priced at P210 for a half order of it. My husband likes this when we ate it at home (leftover chicken). I especially like the gravy partnered to it.

Their refillable iced tea priced at P60, nothing special with this iced tea. But I like the taste of it here.

According to my husband, if he were to choose again where to eat, he'd choose Savory. He said this straight forward. I am not sure if you agree with my husband or not. He said that you can get the same menu for a lower price and even better tasting food at Savory. But overall, the food was great but I am not sure whether we'll dine here again if I'm with my husband. :)

Home Made Burger Steak

I wanted to share with you this yummy home-made burger steak, a recipe I got from my sister-in-law. Okay, before you move that eyebrow, the burger patties are not home-made but if you know how to make one, the better!

Here's what you need:

6 pcs. burger patties
1 beef cube
1 small can mushroom
1 pack of Nestle Cream

How to prepare:

- Fry the burger patties. Set aside.
- Heat a pan and add Nestle Cream. Once the the cream is hot, add the beef cube and stir it until the cube is dissolved.
- Add mushroom and continue stirring for 5 minutes.
- Pour to the burger patties, or serve separately.

It's so easy! You can also add a small amount of water, depending on your taste. I actually bought a fail burger patty so I will do this again next week using CDO Burger patties. :)

Oishi's Choco Chug

I was browsing through Instagram and I saw that Juliana Gomez received Oishi's Choco Chug and that it's her new favorite drink. Then I saw in one blog about a review of the same,so as curious as I can be, I scouted where I can spot this.

Last Tuesday, I went to Puregold and did some grocery shopping and spotted this! I felt like I found a pot of gold. Haha. I grabbed 2 250ml of this, one for me and one for my daughter. This  250ml Choco Chug cost around P17 in Puregold.

The next morning, I showed it to my daughter and gave it to her for breakfast. I was a bit afraid that she might taste the oats inside even though it shows "finely ground oats" on the label. When I handed it over to my daughter, she tasted it and said, "Wow, ang sarap Mommy ah!" Yay! She liked it. I had my own sip of it and to my surprise, it was not too sweet like other chocolate drink (you know what I'm referring to) and you can't taste the oats. I actually like it.

This is my daughter drinking "my" Choco Chug. She grabbed it to me and said it was hers. Haha. This is our new favorite! Grab yours now!

Yana's Bagoong and Chili Oil

It was my first attempt to buy edible goodies online. I posted my favorite mango and bagoong and one seller commented on my photo and said to try her home made bagoong. So I looked into her account and checked out the photos and customers who bought from her. Everybody seems to like her home made bagoong so I got curious and decided to order the bagoong and chili oil. Bagoong costs P150 and the chili oil is for P50.

These goodies arrived last Thursday and yesterday I made my favorite ensaladang mangga and used the bagoong I bought. Okay, to be honest, it doesn't taste like the bagoong you can buy from the groceries like Barrio Fiesta and other brands. Why? This is home made so there's no preservatives added which is a good thing. My sister said it's pure. This bagoong is not spicy, by the way.

Since my husband was not here when I first made my ensaladang mangga, I made another one today and this time, I mixed it with the chili oil. Then voila! That was the taste I was looking for, spicy bagoong! So yummy! I like this mix so much!

If you want to order or check out their IG account, you can search for @onlineshopaholic and you will see other satisfied customers like me. Weeee!! Cheers to all bagoong lovers out there!

Infinitea Free Upsize today!

In celebration of their 1st month being opened here in Naga Road, Infinitea is giving free upsize today!

We went there earlier and we ordered their frappe and fruit tea drinks.

\

On the right is their Double Dutch which costs P85.00 and on the right is their Dark Chocolate Cookie Crumble which is also p85.00 for their medium drinks and since they have free upsize, we got their large size drinks!

We were so happy with the drinks we chose. I like the Double Dutch because it tastes like the Double Dutch ice cream! My husband likes his choice of Dark Chocolate Cookie Crumble. He said that he likes munching on the cookie tidbits.

For my daughter, I ordered Grape Fruit Tea for P50.00 for a medium size cup. I thought she will not like the taste but she did! Yeay! When I tasted it, it tastes like Zesto Grape drink but this is still a good buy because of the free upsize.

Chooks To Go

I am always curious how Chooks To Go chicken tastes. All of a sudden, I had an urge this evening to try this chicken. There was one near our place though it's a pedicab away.

When I got home, I read their paper bag. In front of the bag, you will see the phone number if you want it delivered. I didn't know they deliver and I was anxious whether the branch I know actually deliver so I went there.

At the back of the bag (sorry for the photo) you will see their reheating tips. This is very helpful for me because there were leftovers and I always put them in the fridge if we have leftovers so we can still it the next day. As per the instruction, you have to reheat it by frying for 10 minutes.

So this is what's inside that paper bad. Taaddaa!!! By the way, this whole chicken cost P194.00. And so I tasted the chicken and in my opinion, it was too salty for me. Maybe this is because of the sauce that was in it when it was cooked or something but I find it too salty. But if you remove a bit of the saltiness, it tastes good. My sister said that the chicken was "malambot" and she actually liked it.

And so my craving has been satisfied. :)

Sweet and Sour Cream Dory

This is what we had for lunch yesterday and this is my first attempt to cook sweet and sour fish. And of course, this dish is made delicious by Del Monte. :)

Here's what you need:

1/2 kilo cream dory
2 small bell pepper, cut in cubes
ginger, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 medium carrot, sliced
1 pack Del Monte Sweet and Sour Mix, dissolved in 1/2 cup water
flour
1 egg, beaten
Bread crumbs

How to prepare:

- Cut cream dory in frying size, add salt.
- Drench in flour, dip in egg and drench to bread crumbs.
- Fry. Set aside.
- Saute carrots, onions, ginger and bell pepper for 5 minutes.
- Pour the dissolved Del Monte Sweet and Sour Mix.
- Allow to simmer until sauce is thick.
- Add fried cream dory.

Here's the finish product of the dish. There was no sauce on it. The reason behind that was because of the bread crumbs. So I would advise not to put bread crumbs on it when you cook this dish.

Pork with Mushroom in Creamy Sauce

Today's lunch, pork with mushroom with creamy sauce. I also got this recipe from the forum I am in. Thank you to my sisses who shared this recipe. My husband haven't tasted this yet but I love the creaminess of this dish.

Here's what you need:

80 pesos pork, cut into wide strips
1 medium onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
butter
1 small evaporated milk
1 small can of mushroom (I used Jolly)
salt
pepper

How to prepare:

- In a pan, put butter and saute onion and garlic.
- When garlic is slightly brown, add pork and continue sauteeing until pork is tender.
- Add mushrooms. Saute for 3 minutes.
- Add milk. Lower the heat. You can add generous amount of milk but make sure it's not too much that it's already a "sabaw".
- Add pepper and salt to taste.
- Serve.

You can also try beef instead of pork.

Rellenong Pusit

I recently learned new recipes from the forum I am in. This is the same forum where I found Pork Kinamatisan recipe which was so popular and delicious.

I will share with you a seafood recipe using pusit (squid). Let's start.

What you will need:
1/4 kilo squid, cleaned
1 small carrot, diced
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
magic sarap
30 pesos ground pork
pepper
oil for frying
1 beaten egg
flour
toothpick

For marinade:
soy sauce
kalamansi

How to prepare:

- Marinade squid in soy sauce and kalamansi for 30 minutes.
- Saute garlic and onion.
- Add ground pork. Saute until the ground pork is brownish.
- Add carrots, magic sarap and peppper.
- Set aside. Let it cool.
- Drain soy sauce from the squid and then stuff the squid with     sauteed ground pork with carrots.Put toothpick on the edge of the squid so that the stuff will remain intact.
- Dip in egg and then drench in flour.
- Fry the squid 3-5 mins each side.

Here's the finish product. The squid became smaller. I didn't know it would shrink when you fry them. But it still tasted good.

Mang Cha-a 2

I dropped by Mang Cha-a this morning and to those who read my blog about them last month, I mentioned there that I wish they have cookies to compliment the tea they offer. When I went there this morning, to my surprise, there were cookies!!!

I was so happy when I saw their cookies in a very cute jar. They have Chocolate Chip cookies for only 20 pesos and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for 25 pesos. I bought the Chocolate Chip cookie and I must say that it complimented the tea I ordered. I ordered Strawberry Milk Tea with pearl and my husband actually loved their milk tea! He also said that the place was nice. :)

The barista also said they have new flavors to try. They the coconut and mango drinks. I will definitely try it when I come back. I am so happy that the owner of this branch really listened to customer's feedback. Actually, I posted my blog last month to my Facebook page and tagged them. To my surprise, they posted it on their fan page and said that they heard the comments and they will soon have cookies to sell and there they are!

It feels so nice to finally get a customer satisfaction. Haha. If you want to read my first blog about them, click here.

Infinitea

I had a Thursdate with my hubby today and he invited me to try the newly opened Infinitea along Naga Road. We've been meaning to try this tea place but there was none near our place. So when we learned there will be an Infinitea walking distance from our house, I told my husband I want to try their drinks when they opened.

This is just a small place but when you enter the place, aside from the very cold place, the place was very alive and happy because of the colors inside the place.

My husband was seating on a comfy couch which I really love. :) Next to him is a very nice and bright chair. Isn't the chair nice?

At my back is the counter where you will place your order. We were seated near the counter.

This is the counter. They have the menu available for you to see aside from the ones posted on their wall (was not able to take a photo of it). The drinks here ranges from 50 pesos to 120 pesos, depending on what type of drinks you order.

Does this look familiar? Yes. This is the same with Mang Cha-a's wall where you can stick or post notes or messages to anyone.A friend told me this branch had their soft opening last Thursday and with the look of this board, it seems a lot had been here already.

By the way, when you order their drinks, they will ask you for the sugar level. This is interesting, huh? Me and my hubby chose quarter sugar or 25% sugar.

My hubby ordered Almond Milk Tea (50 pesos) and I ordered Green Tea Frappe (80 pesos). To my dismay, my frappe was "matabang" and I was thinking that maybe, when you order a frappe you should increase the sugar level. I tasted my hubby's Almond Milk Tea and it tasted good and you can really taste the almond flavor. I didn't finish my drink and gave it to my sister for her to taste and she commented the same thing, "matabang". I don't blame the barista because I was the one who chose 25% sugar level. At least now, I know and I should have asked questions from them.

And the same sentiments for this tea shop, they should offer cookies or something. I saw Doritos over the counter but I'm sure it's expensive than your 50 pesos milk tea. But the place is great, the colors were nice to eyes and it's comfortable there. Will definitely try another drink because I have a tea date with a friend this coming Saturday and next Wednesday to this same Infinitea branch. I will post the photos of the new drinks I will try.

Fiesta Spaghetti

I noticed that I haven't posted any pasta dish here in my blog even though I am a super fan of Spaghetti. I was looking for the tipid pack of Del Monte Spaghetti but I didn't find one and I saw this Fiesta Tipid Pack. It has 1 kilo of Spaghetti noodles and 1 kilo of Spaghetti sauce plus a free 250 grams of free Spaghetti Sauce. I was intrigued with what it says "plus parmesan cheese" on it so I bought it and it's only for P149.00!

So here's what you need:

1 kilo Fiesta Spaghetti Noodles
1 kg and 250 g Fiesta Spaghetti Sauce
4 pcs regular hotdog, slice into small pieces
P50 ground pork
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
cooking oil
salt and pepper
Water (for the noodles)

How to prepare:

Noodles:
- Boil water. Once water is hot enough, put 1 tbsp of oil and dash of salt.
- Add the noodles. Stir occasionally. Check if noodles is already cooked. Set aside.

Sauce:
- Heat 2 tbsp. oil.
- Saute onion and garlic. Add hotdogs and ground pork.
- Add pepper and salt and saute until ground pork is brown in color.
- Add spaghetti sauce. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Serve.

I didn't know that Fiesta Spaghetti sauce taste so good too! My husband said that the sauce was really good so I am beginning to like this brand now. :)

Happy Eating everyone!

Bake Mac

My sister made Bake Mac today. She prepared this for my daughter's birthday tomorrow. I am not sure about the steps and ingredients of this delicious pasta but I will make one one of these days. I super love the white sauce! Happy Tummy!

McDonald's Shake Shake Fries

McDonald's Shake Shake Fries is back! I am so happy when my husband brought home this as pasalubong for me and my daughter. I super love their barbecue flavored fries!

Like their Twister Fries, this Shake Shake Fries is just so seasonal. I am not sure though how they decide on when to offer these. But anyway, I am so glad they're back! The one my husband brought home last night was cheese flavor. I am looking forward to try sour cream flavor soon!

Mang Cha-a

I am not a fan of tea, but when a friend told me about Mang Cha-a which somehow near to our place, I said yes. However, due to some circumstances, the first time I went there, I was alone. It was last Saturday and it was raining and it was a perfect time to unwind and relax.

When I entered the place, I fell in love. The colors were so perfect! I was in love with the set up of the place. So I took a photo of almost everything nice there so I can share them with you.

This is the cute wall they have where you can post notes to your friends, to Mang Cha-a, or to anyone.

When I first visited them last Saturday, I ordered Chocolate Oreo Milk Tea. I ordered the large one. I was so full and I love this drink! This is also best for kids, in fact this is one of their best sellers for kids. Since this is a large drink, it costs P80.00 and I added pearls for P10.00

This is the view from my table. It was raining when I went there.

A lovely corner. There were three nice high chairs at the corner. I love it.

This is how it looks like when you enter Mang Cha-a. You will see nice colors of chairs, which I love and a very nice cozy environment.

I also love these photos they hang on the wall. I think these are the customers they had when this branch first opened. Cute clips!

Super duper love polkadots! I love this wall so much! This may be a small corner and space but this looks so nice and neat.

We visited the place again today. I tried one of their best seller Wintermelon Milk Tea. At first, at the sound of the name of the drink, I was not impressed and I was actually hesitant to try that, but since it's my second visit, I think it's only fair that I try another drink, so I decided to order their Wintermelon Milk Tea with Pearls.

This is their regular Mang Cha-a Wintermelon MIlk Tea for P55.00 only!

The only thing I think they could improve is to maybe sell cookies or chips. They do have Picnic and Tofu chips but I was looking something to munch like cookies or pastries perhaps to compliment the tea.

What I love about this shop is they have WIFI. They are nice here in fact I know one who works here. I will definitely go back here since this is near to our place and I want to bring my husband and daughter here next time.

If you would like to visit their branch here, this is located near Citadella in CAA Road, Las Pinas City. Major landmark is Southville International School and Las Pinas Doctors Hospital. You will easily locate them because they are the 2nd floor of a building in Citadella. You can also visit their Facebook page Mang Cha-a Citadella.

Chicken Deli

Yesterday, my family had lunch to this newly opened Chicken Deli in Naga Road, Las Pinas City. They opened last August 15 and I was so eager to try out their food. I was so thrilled also because this is just a walking distance from our village so we don't have to ride a cab or jeep or tricycle, but sidecar is an option if you want.

Here's what we ordered:

This is what I ordered, Pork Sisig and this is for P99.00

This is what we ordered for my daughter, chicken bbq and rice for P59.00

They call this Bacolod Express. I must say this is tasty and I like the hot feeling of this. This costs P49.00

I super love ensaladang talong! The bagoong here is so tasty. This is for P39.00

This is what my husband ordered, Liempo with rice for P99.00

We also ordered Iced Tea, priced at P35.00 per large glass and we ordered Tropicana Juice for my daughter for P39.00. Overall, we were satisfied with the service and the food. The people here are attentive, especially when you are running out of rice! Haha. They do have unlimited rice, by the way for the meals they offer like what me and my husband ordered.

This are good deals they offer for family or groups who wants to eat here and try different food they offer.

Like the other Inasal food stores, they also offer free "sinigang" soup while you're waiting for your food.

Took photos of their menu posted on their cashier section.

We will definitely go back here because, one, it's so near to our place it's so accessible. Two, they have nice food selection and I have yet to try their merienda and panghimagas food which I will try on my next visit.

I am sure of the branches they have in Metro Manila but you can check their FB page for more information.
