Coffee Jelly

I recently joined "Lutong Pinoy" group in Facebook that shares simple recipes that are affordable, yummy and healthy. Let me share with you the dessert I made this afternoon for tonight, Coffee Jelly.

Here's what you need:

2 packs of Jellee gulaman powder (24g) clear and unflavored
1 sachet of Nescafe 3in1 original
1 sachet of any other coffee brand of your choice, I used Great Taste White
water
1 can condensed milk
1 all purpose cream
sugar

How to prepare:

- Boil 4 cups of water.
- Then add 1 pack of Jellee gulaman powder and 1 sachet of Nescafe 3in1 coffee.
- Add sugar according to taste.
- Stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the gulaman in a container and allow the gulaman to be cold and hard.
- Do the same procedure for the next pack of Jellee gulaman powder and 1 sachet of your desired coffee.
- In a bowl, mix condensed milk and all purpose cream until evenly combined.
- Once the gulaman is ready, cut into cubes and transfer to bowl of the combined condense milk and all purpose cream and mix evenly.
- Put the coffee jelly in freezer until ready to serve.

This is nice for special occasions and even for the upcoming Christmas! So easy to prepare! It tastes so good when served chilled.

Pan de Manila's Donut

We went to Market Market and my friend said that we should try Pan de Manila's donuts. She said it is only offered in Market Market. So I bought box of 4 donuts, donut costs 40 pesos each but if you buy a box of it, you'll get discount. Here's what I got.

I actually forgot the names of these donuts but the one with almonds tastes so good! Even my husband, who is not a fan of sweets liked this so much. He said that it was not too sweet and the cream or filling inside the donut is so yummy!

If you look at the donut, it is more like "ensaymada" style of bread but when you eat it, it sure does taste like a donut! Oh I wish they would offer these to other Pan de Manila branches because this is such a good buy for 40 pesos each! Great for get together, for pasalubong, for baon, for everything! Nice creativity Pan de Manila!

Swensen's

I recently won a Swensen's gift certificate which entitled me to get a free Hurricane ice cream from them. Last Father's day (which was very timely haha) we availed of the free ice cream at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

It says on the gift card it is valued at 395 pesos, but when I saw on their menu, Hurricane ice cream is actually around 400 pesos. I though we would have to pay the difference but the lady there said all is good. :)

We had no idea how big is the serving of the Hurricane ice cream so we asked the lady who was assisting customers and she showed us the bowl and told us it has 5 scoops of ice cream, so we decided to order just this ice cream. When it was served, oh boy! It is actually good for 3-5 person already. Me, my husband and daughter shared this bowl of yummy ice cream. My husband said it was not too sweet and that the combination of the ice cream flavors is great. We didn't even finish the whole bowl, we were so full!

This is a great ice cream tambayan for big groups because they serve ice cream for groups as well and at the same time for kids as well. It would be great to come back here with friends soon.

Cioccolatissimo's S'mores and Cookie Pops Giveaway

I had been a super fanatic of Instagram now. I literally purchase most items here and even food. I am always a bit hesitant to buy food online as I am not sure whether it will taste good or not. The first time I purchased food online was Yana's Bagoong and Chili Oil and to my surprise, it was a super hit!

My granddaughter had her 1st birthday last January 25th and I suggested to purchase the giveaways from Instagram too. I was actually eyeing on buying from this seller since Christmas because they offer a lot of yummy and goodies that children will surely love. So I suggested to try out her ever famous cookie pops from Cioccolatissimo of Instagram. We ordered 60 pcs of personalized cookie pops, with tag on it and ribbon. Guess how much the cookie pops with the tag and ribbon on it? 10 pesos only! Would you believe that's how cheap it was? Here's how it looks like:

We requested for the face of Hello Kitty and "Chloe@1" on the other side of the cookie pop. This generous and nice seller gave the tag for free and the styro where the cookie pops will be placed. :)

I apologize for not posting a pic of what's inside this cookie pop but to describe it, it's a cookie with strawberry peanut butter mint inside and then coated with white chocolate. And I must say, for a price of 10 pesos, this is really a good buy! I asked my nieces if it tastes good and they said it was! Aha! :)

Oh and by the way, along with this cookie pops, I ordered s'mores from Cioccolatissimo too. One confession, it was my first time to try s'mores haha so I really don't know what to expect. And when it came, these cutie patootie round s'mores made me smile.

I bought these for 100 pesos for 10 pcs. The generous seller gave me a free big s'mores haha. I really love free stuff especially free food. Who doesn't? :) Me and my husband tasted it and it was not too sweet and I like the soft marshmallow inside. :)

I saved the best for last, the big s'more for me. Haha. See the white marshmallow inside? This one is really good for a first timer like me. I think this can be a good giveaway too for parties or special occasions.

Please follow @Cioccolatissimo for more goodies that she sells online. This person is so easy to transact with, super hassle free! They offer a lot of goodies for everyone. Thank you Jecca for the nice transaction! We will definitely order again.

Starbucks' Banoffee Pie

Last week, when me and my husband was still in the hospital, I bought one of my favorite pie in the world, Starbucks' Banoffee pie. I told my husband to taste it and he liked it too!

The first time I tasted this oh so yummy pie was back in 2009 when my co-worker ordered this when we were having team breakfast at Starbucks. I loved the taste especially the crunchy crust and the banana too! It is best eaten when cold, I swear!

I think this is always a sold out at Starbucks because when I bought it last week, there were only 2 left and it was just lunch time.

I want to eat this again! Banoffee pie here costs P120.00, and it is so worth the price!

Adobo Connection

I was at SM Sta. Mesa last night to buy food for me and my husband. I was looking for dessert and I ran into this food shop called Adobo Connection. I saw a banner which says "Leche Flan turon" so I got so curious how it taste. So I bought 4 pieces of this Turon, 2 pieces for P29.00 is not bad.

When I arrived at the hospital, I showed it to my husband and he tasted it after eating his meal. He said it was delicious!

I am not sure where this food shop is available. But if you are in Quezon City area, it's in SM Sta. Mesa. It is near Red Ribbon Bakeshop.
